Brown corundum grinding wheel

Brown corundum grinding wheel is a grinding wheel made by bonding brown corundum material with a binder and then firing it at high temperature. It is widely used and its main characteristics are:

1. The material itself has a certain hardness. If it is made into a flat grinding wheel, it is suitable for processing metals with high tensile strength that do not require high grinding requirements, such as ordinary carbon steel and alloy steel with lower hardness.

2. Its toughness is relatively high, and the abrasive particles of the grinding wheel are not easily broken during the grinding process. Therefore, when using large diameter and wide thickness grinding wheels to process workpieces, the shape is maintained well, and the processing accuracy is high. Therefore, it is more suitable for making centerless grinding wheels.

3. The color of this grinding wheel is actually gray blue, and when the particle size is coarse, it is somewhat similar to the color of black silicon carbide grinding wheel, and some people also call it black grinding wheel. But there are essential differences between these two materials of grinding wheels, and a slight distinction needs to be made before use. Generally, brown corundum grinding wheels appear to have no shiny spots of silicon carbide.
